The suspense is identical in both films, except that Spielberg puts a man-eating shark in the water, whereas Knight has a nice fat tuna. Suddenly, the reel begins to spin, thrumming like crazy as the fish takes the bait and starts to run. We’re on a boat, out at sea, and the camera stares at a reel of fishing line, which turns very slightly. He goes straight to “ Jaws” and takes what he requires: a closeup of a click. ![]() Be like Steven Knight, the writer and director of “Serenity,” who, when it comes to a big fishing scene, doesn’t mess around.
